Yes. PVD coating is available as part of our surface finishing capabilities for suitable CNC machined components.
PVD, or Physical Vapor Deposition, is a vacuum-based coating process used to deposit a thin functional or decorative coating onto a component surface. Depending on the selected coating system, PVD can improve surface hardness, wear resistance, friction characteristics and appearance.
For CNC machined components, PVD should be considered together with machining tolerances and surface preparation. Coating thickness, masking requirements and the geometry of holes, threads and mating surfaces can affect the final component.
For critical applications, PVD specifications should be defined during the RFQ stage rather than simply specifying “PVD coating.”
