Ruixing MFG - Custom CNC Machined Parts Manufacturer & Supplier For 20 Years
For PVD-coated CNC parts, we recommend providing as much of the following information as possible:
- Base material and grade
- PVD coating type
- Required color or appearance
- Coating thickness, if specified
- Surface roughness before coating
- Critical dimensions
- Thread and hole requirements
- Areas that must be masked
- Adhesion or hardness requirements
- Quantity
- Application environment
This information is important because PVD is not simply an appearance treatment. The coating process can affect critical dimensions, especially where tight-fitting holes, threads or mating surfaces are involved.
For precision parts, we recommend evaluating the pre-coating dimensions and final coated dimensions together.
